Afterthought...Last Day
The Game. ...haw hee haw But in all seriousness, thee best experience of our lives soo far:D
Day 3
After quite a late night last night with the roboprof (more of that later) and the pool night, we awoke with a level of tiredness we never thought a person could achieve... Anyway, on with the day...

The roboprof; the cyborg man. Not kidding, he is a cyborg. Prof Kevin Warrick from the University of Reading came to talk to us about the possiblities of technology within living things. We all found it incredibly fascinating and we were astounded at the new feats of machinery that could help in everyday life.

The pool night was quite a success but one of the best parts of the evening was when our mentor put on "I want to break free" by Queen on the jukebox as we know of his background in We Will Rock You as Gallileo.

This morning we had a talk from Prof Graham Ault about the university's Gambia project in which students go out to this deprived country and provide electrical systems to schools and health centres. It was a truly inspiring morning, even though we were all feulled on coffee and energy drinks as we had next to no sleep...

Ach well...

Now we are working on our project and it is going...

...Well it's going.

So that's the rundown of the previous day and we now have to get on.

Team Atlas away!
Day 2 [part 1]
Despite the small inconvienience of our rocket going slightly off-course -into a tree and exploding after launch... we woke bright and cheery our second day of Space school.

Breakfast as usual.. painstakingly long lines to wait in and never any seats xD
We all met at our 'Village Office' after brekkie and once again packed ourselves into the Lecture room in the James Weir Building, where we were split into our two groups( A and B)  group B developed a Heart Moniter... yeh we were soooo entusiastic!!:D Luckily there was a couple of boffins (lecturer dudes) to aid us on the challenge.

Next we've got another lecture and two speakers to sleep/ listen to.. kidding on, they acctually talk about cool, relevant and really interesting topics throughout the lectures :P.. and we're away for lunch now so.. blog you later.

Day 1
In the morning our team were ready to get started as we were still on a high from winning the quiz.

The day started with a lecture about rocket propulsion. We then made our way to the assembly hall and started to construct our rockets.

The team bonded well as we all spent last night getting to know each other. This put us into a great start for working as a team.

Later tonight we will be launching our rockets at Loch Lommond to see which team has designed the most efficient rocket. This will be followed by a BBQ. mon the steaks :D
