This morning - very early - we got a lecture on The Gambia project, where we learnt about how big an impact efficient energy can have on small, poor communities.
After this we went to the microbiology labs to see how dirty we were, by looking at the results of the samples taken on Monday through a microscope. We found lots of nasty bacteria!
This afternoon we will be working on our big project, but you'll have to wait until Thursday to find out what we've come up with!
We're all excitied about Open Mic Night and are looking forward to getting the chance to speak to the NASA folk.

After another rude awakening we piled into the lecture theatre, where we were briefed on the planning of space missions and the colossal work which is involved. We were enlightened in to the various complications which landing a probe on a comet and the theories which have been tested to overcome these problems.
After lunch, we attempted to make heart monitors - a few of which were successful, although by our pulse readings a few of us should be dead.
Tonight, we look forward to entering into the world of robotics and then challenging the others to a game of pool.

Extremely early in the morning we were immersed in to University life, with our first lecture being at half 8! We were introduced to a variety of new developments within the UK space industry such as solar sailing which is being developed here in strathclyde! We learnt about various methods of rocket propulsion including nuclear, eletrical and chemical which we demonstrated at Ross Priory with the rockets we constructed.
After a brief lunch we joined the biology department to see if we have been taking advantage of the shower facilities! The results of which will be revealed in two days (along with some unpleasant pathogens)!
Don't worry, the grub's good. Gordon got that one right!
