Guidance Notes for Applicants to the Scottish Space School 2010

  • Applications will only be accepted online so if you do not have internet access at home please ask permission to do this through your school.  The deadline for applications is 12th March 2010.

  • You must be in S 5 in the current school session studying maths and science subjects at Higher level.

  • You should include the results of all Standard Grade and any other relevant examinations you have already achieved, and the Higher Grade exams you intend to sit in 2010.

  • Your personal statement should tell us something about you as a person, what makes you tick, what interests you have and any significant achievements in and out of school, as well as why you think you merit a place at Space School. If you have any career aspirations at present we would like to know what they are.

  • You must obtain permission from your teacher before including his/her name and contact details on the application form.

  • Your teacher’s supporting statement is confidential so please ensure that his/her official school e-mail address is used.

  • You will be informed by e-mail no later than 1 April 2010 if your application has been successful. The University's decision is final and no feedback will be provided.
